Associate Veterinarian - Crossroads Veterinary Clinic

Crossroads Veterinary Clinic, Rosslyn, Ontario, Canada

Job Description

Posted Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 5:00 AM

You were made to save animals, we take care of the rest.

Since June 2006, Crossroads Veterinary Clinic has been steadily growing their clientele every year in the area of Thunder Bay, a small lovely city located on Lake Superior and known for its fabulous outdoors opportunities (hiking, kayaking, canoeing, camping) and for its ecotourism opportunities.

Our newly renovated 5000 square feet facility is modern, clean, and comfortable, encompassing a spacious reception area, 6 fully digitalized examination rooms, a thoughtfully designed comfort room, a spacious pharmacy, one surgical bay, one dental bay, and 3 designated DVM workstations away from the treatment area. Overall, our clinic is a comfortable, kid-friendly and relaxing environment for our patients. We strive to minimize any time spent in a waiting room, and provide private examination rooms upon arrival.

Our equipment includes a digital x-ray machine, anesthesiology units, computerized ear endoscope, blood analyzing equipment, surgical monitors, ultrasound and laser therapy, which allows us to offer first rate pet care. Our 5 Veterinarians are experienced in all types of conditions and treatments, handling both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. Beyond routine consultations, we also offer the following services: animal behaviour, chiropractic, acupuncture, dentistry, surgery and wound repair, microchipping, etc.

Our support staff consists of 3 dedicated technicians, 3 friendly receptionists and 4 caring and compassionate assistants who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care issues that may arise, and they all strive to offer superior healthcare and excellent service.

We are currently looking for fellow Veterinarians who share our belief that all animals deserve compassionate veterinary care, and are dedicated to providing the finest service. The ideal candidates are comfortable working in a “country – feel at home” atmosphere, and care to offer a personalized, one-to-one approach to all of our clients.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Ontario
  • Passion for what you do every day
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude are a must
  • A strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both when dealing with clients and team members.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Schedule that allows a great work/life balance (8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday, Saturday 8:30am-3pm, closed on Sunday)
  • Access to our network of over 1500 DVMs
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Professional liability coverage
  • Association dues and VIN membership
  • Outstanding medical and pet supply discounts
  • Fairness, respect in the workplace
  • Opportunity for personal, professional and financial growth
