Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent, eligible to practice in BC with a full, unrestricted licence.
• Experience with exotics is a bonus.
• Organised and detail-oriented with record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform exams and diagnostics, guide pet owners in animal care.
• Conduct surgical procedures and collaborate with the team.
• Participate in weekend-share rotation, generally 1 in 4 weekends.

Eagle Ridge Animal and Bird Hospital has been proudly serving the Tri-cities area since 1984. We're a privately owned, full-service veterinary hospital based in Coquitlam, BC. Operating out of a large, stand-alone facility, our team is passionate about delivering high-quality care to dogs, cats, small mammals and reptiles. We offer a wide range of services, including preventive and diagnostic care, surgery and hospitalisation —and have a special interest in exotic pets. We have been AAHA accredited for over 30 years.

As a private practice owner, I value the professional judgment of our veterinarians. Our Vets have the autonomy to create personalised treatment plans and collaborate with each other in a supportive, flexible environment.

The Role

We’re looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join us on-site in Coquitlam. If you enjoy variety in your day and want the chance to work with both traditional and exotic pets, this could be a great fit. Your days will include performing exams, diagnostics, surgeries, and guiding pet owners in caring for their animals. You'll work closely with a knowledgeable, caring team. You must be able to work on a weekend-share rotation (generally 1 in 4 weekends).
