As an Associate Trust Officer, you will be part of a team providing effective and efficient trust services solutions to our client businesses. You will assist Corporate Trust Officers in their mandates, helping with setup, administration, and client service relationships.

Responsibilities include :

  • Setting up new document files, creating trust records, and ensuring accurate system recordings.
  • Providing technical and administrative support for various trust files.
  • Monitoring new business files, creating electronic client files, and following up on delinquent items.
  • Ensuring all required documents are complete and in good order.
  • Preparing summaries of trust agreements and reviewing trust records.
  • Coordinating internal audits and acting as vault custodian for assets.
  • Responding to inquiries from investors and issuers regarding trust administration.
  • Monitoring compliance with covenants and ensuring timely execution of duties.
  • Handling billing issues, drafting correspondence, and supporting team projects.
  • Providing administrative support to management and other department members.

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, or related fields preferred.
  • Canadian Securities Course or similar training is an asset.
  • Industry experience preferred, with 3-5 years in an office setting, ideally in legal, securities, or financial sectors.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Trust business and basic accounting is advantageous.
  • This role is suited for results-oriented, quality-driven individuals with strong analytical skills and commercial savvy.
