The Funds & Co-Investments team within OMERS Private Capital seeks to build a diversified portfolio of global private equity exposures. As a new strategy within the Private Capital ecosystem, the Funds & Co-Investments team is looking to build and develop world-class data and technology capabilities to support all stages of the investment lifecycle, from initial screening and diligence to ongoing portfolio monitoring. This is a high priority focus area for the team and we are looking to add a highly motivated and versatile Associate to play a key role in developing the technology architecture underpinning the future growth of the program.

As a member of the Private Capital (Funds & Co-Investments) team, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Empower investment decision-making with real-time insights and seamless data access through advanced analytics and automation across all investment stages.
  • Build and deploy custom tech solutions integrating CRM, pipeline, portfolio, and reporting systems for better investment assessment and tracking.
  • Assess, select, and implement vendor platforms to streamline portfolio monitoring, workflows, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights via dashboards and visualizations to enhance understanding of fund performance, co-investments, and secondary opportunities.

You bring the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in private capital fund investing, ideally in a data, analytics, or data science role.
  • Strong understanding of private capital structures (LPs, GPs, fund commitments, co-investments, secondaries).
  • Proficiency in data and analytics tools such as Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for financial analysis and visualization.
  • Experience in designing and managing scalable data infrastructure, including data lakes and/or data warehousing, with expertise in data processing, orchestration, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud for data engineering and analytics.
  • Data engineering or web development experience; skilled in interactive visualizations (React, JavaScript) to enhance user experience.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effectively communicate highly technical subject matter to Private Capital leadership.
