Position Overview:

The selected candidate will support the Sagard Healthcare investment team in due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, and execution of healthcare royalty and credit investments. This role offers a unique opportunity to invest in the biopharmaceutical industry within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment focused on long-term growth.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including reviewing scientific literature, clinical trial data, interviewing physicians, and market research on product profiles, pricing, and adoption.
  2. Support the deal team in reviewing new investments and monitoring existing ones.
  3. Analyze the treatment landscape and clinical profiles of pharmaceutical products.
  4. Develop sales forecasts and valuation models for relevant products and companies.
  5. Build complex financial and patient-based models to aid investment decisions.
  6. Prepare investment presentations and memos, synthesizing research and financial analysis into actionable recommendations.

Experience & Qualifications:

  1. Undergraduate degree in Life Sciences, Commerce, Finance, or related fields.
  2. 2-4 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment banking, or consulting, with a focus on biopharma or healthcare.
  3. Interest in investing and understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry.
  4. Strong research, data analysis, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Knowledge of finance and accounting concepts.
  6. Alignment with Sagard's core values: ethics, professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks and produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  8. Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  9. Effective teamwork and independent work capabilities.
