Job summary

Canaccord Genuity Corp. in Toronto is seeking an organized administrator to support administrative and data processing tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely responses within a fast-paced brokerage environment.

The candidate will support the Securities team, handle mail, trade confirmations, and registrations, and may require overtime to meet deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years administrative and data processing experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to overtime and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of CDS and DTC and securities negotiability preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Messenger duties, including delivery and pickup of physical securities & cheques.
  • Attend to the Securities counter, including receiving and releasing cheques and certificates.
  • Sorting of incoming mail, including trade confirmations and statements.
  • Re-registration of Physical Securities & GICs.
  • Defunct Securities Removal Requests.
  • Provide coverage to the Securities team and assist team members as required.

Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an individual with strong administrative and customer service skills to join their team. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, communication, and computer skills are essential for this role. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize and respond to deliverables in a timely manner. Adhering to policies and procedures is an important aspect of this role.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and willing to assist team members as required.
  • Flexible, reliable and availability to work overtime as required.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Ability and willingness to learn new systems applications.
  • Familiarity with Dataphile is an asset.
  • Knowledge of CDS and DTC and securities negotiability, preferred.
