Job Description:

TD Securities offers a broad range of capital market products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients, known for our knowledge, innovation, and experience in areas such as Investment and Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Interest Rate, Precious Metals, Currency, and Derivatives. The Associate (also known as Retail Business Development Manager) is responsible for developing and managing the Enterprise Distribution sales efforts within the retail network for Foreign Exchange (FX), Precious Metals, and Direct Trade FX services.

Accountabilities:

  1. Independently manage your business to drive results, acting as the lead contact and product expert for TDS in Ontario, focusing on the Greater Toronto Area.
  2. Develop and implement a business plan to source and acquire new foreign exchange, precious metals, and foreign currency clients.
  3. Coach retail branch and wealth employees, collaborating with all levels of business partners to maximize product sales.
  4. Identify and cultivate new Centers of Influence (COIs) and build a local business network.
  5. Innovate ways to profile the business and enhance the retail employee experience.
  6. Proactively address branch issues impacting the business.
  7. Cross-sell and refer other bank products and services through our business partners.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with strong networking skills internally and externally, demonstrating initiative and creativity to attract new clients.
  • Strong sales and marketing background, with knowledge of TDS treasury products and financial markets, preferably in retail banking or investment environments.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead networking activities, manage multiple deadlines, and handle several projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Own a reliable vehicle; role requires 80%+ travel within Ontario, with reimbursement per TD policy.

Educational Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and CFA designation or enrollment in such programs is an asset.
