What is the opportunity

RBC is hiring an Associate Relationship Manager for our Vancouver-based Corporate Client Group (CCG). This role supports Relationship Managers with their portfolio of strategic high-value Treasury and Cash Management clients. The CCG Treasury and Cash Management Relationship Management Teams are responsible for client non-lending banking activities and serve as a gateway for all RBC products and services. This position will support the Director / Relationship Managers (RM) with portfolio management tasks, including pricing, enrollment, risk management, relationship reviews, activities, and account planning to grow relationships, enhance loyalty, and drive innovation with our clients.

What will you do
  • Support senior management in achieving strategic business priorities such as revenue growth, client loyalty, and innovation within CCG - Treasury and Cash Management clients.
  • Assist in coordinating and completing relationship and operational reviews for CCG clients, analyzing client data to identify opportunities and execute sales strategies.
  • Ensure an exceptional client experience by retaining accounts and growing Cash Management Deposit and RBC revenue through supporting sales activities like onboarding, pipeline management, and deposit interest contracts.
  • Assist in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and help close new opportunities or defend current clients from competitors.
  • Support operational and transactional risk management by collaborating with Partners / Business Risk / GBSC, including handling CBA, BAA, account documentation, etc.
  • Identify and escalate potential client or product risks to the Director / RM and take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.
What do you need to succeed
Must have
  • Knowledge of RBC Cash Management Products and industry trends.
  • Proven experience in delivering excellent client advice and service.
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and take full accountability.
  • Ability to align client needs with suitable product or structural solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in contract documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple conflicting demands.
Nice to have
  • Extensive team experience.
  • Previous project management experience.
  • At least 3 years of banking Cash Management experience.
  • Sales and relationship management skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
