Job summary

Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. in Vancouver is seeking an experienced Associate, Registered Plans to join the Registered Plans Department.

You will deliver client-focused service, handle registered plans transactions, and stay current on regulatory requirements affecting RRSP, RRIF, RESP, TFSA and FHSA accounts. The role requires detail-oriented, proactive individuals with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of registered products (RRSP, RRIF, RESP, TFSA and FHSA).
• Solid understanding of CRA rules and tax reporting requirements for registered plans.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Polished client service skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to independently seek out solutions and apply sound judgement.
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Dataphile system experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of registered plans tasks, including recording, scheduling, and processing contributions and withdrawals in RRSP/RRIF/RESP/TFSA/FHSA.
• Provide first-line support to advisory teams on registered plan products and processes to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to client requests and complete transactions and record-keeping with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Research regulatory changes and internal policies related to registered plan accounts to maintain compliance.
• Collaborate with team members across the firm and share best practices to support continuous improvement.

Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an experienced Associate, Registered Plans to join our Registered Plans Department. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, client service-oriented individual with a strong understanding of registered plans in the financial services sector.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of registered plans related tasks in a timely and efficient manner. This will include, but is not limited to, recording, scheduling, and processing contribution and withdrawal transactions in registered accounts (RRSP, RRIF, RESP, TFSA and FHSA)
• Provide first-line support to advisory teams with regards to registered plan products and processes to ensure policies are being adhered to and regulatory requirements on registered products are met;
• Respond to client requests and inquiries and complete all transactions and record keeping functions with strong attention to detail and accuracy;
• Research internal and external resources to stay informed on regulatory changes, policies, and procedures as they relate to registered plan transactions processing to maintain compliance in all areas of responsibility;
• Work collaboratively with team members across the firm, share best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in educating new associates and assistants on registered plan accounts.
