SUMMARY

Reporting to the Property Manager, the Associate Property Manager will ensure all property management policies, procedures, and operations are conducted effectively. You will develop, administer, and submit regular financial reports and budgets (operating and capital) within established guidelines. This role requires strong communication, client relationship management, and data analysis skills to ensure client satisfaction, team member satisfaction, and financial success.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Your primary role as an Associate Property Manager includes:

  • Maintaining positive tenant relationships through professional responsiveness and proactive issue consideration, ensuring tenant expectations and landlord criteria are met.
  • Acting as the direct tenant liaison to coordinate tenant construction activities and landlord work, ensuring they are well-organized and proactively managed, fulfilling lease obligations.
  • Meeting with the property management team, tenants, vendors, contractors, and senior management as needed to review and support operational challenges and new initiatives.
  • Coordinating and distributing relevant tenant communications.
  • Upholding the building's presentation to maintain PWGSC's best-in-class image at all times.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and performance of resources and metrics to meet program requirements and ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Ensuring insurance and contract files are complete, accurate, and current.
  • Supporting initiatives to improve tenant relations and organizing tenant events and meetings.
  • Supporting the Property Manager with ongoing initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in building and facilities management.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • A community college diploma or equivalent (e.g., ABI, CET).
  • A proven track record in developing and maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Experience in commercial property management and developing complex budgets.
  • Professionalism, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities using facts and sound reasoning.
  • Ability to analyze building data effectively.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) through IFMA.
  • Certified Property Manager (CPM) through the Institute of Real Estate Management.
  • Facility Management Administrator (FMA) through BOMI.
  • Real Property Administrator (RPA) through BOMI.
