Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Associate Product Owner forour SaaS portfolio with focus on enhancement and maintenance. This role combines product ownership responsibilities with agile leadership and cross-functional team management, requiring someone who can seamlessly transition between strategic product planning and hands-on team facilitation.

The successful candidate will help craft the enhancement and sustainment roadmap for our flagship SaaS offerings, help identify areas of product simplification and serve as the SME to development and support teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a product professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities :

Product Ownership

  • Partner with the Product Owner to define and prioritize product enhancements based on customer feedback, business value, and technical feasibility
  • Conduct customer research to identify opportunities for product simplification
  • Own the Sustainment (technical debt, maintenance, and performance improvements) roadmap for our SaaS portfolio across multiple product lines
  • Partner with the Product Owner to lead quarterly and annual roadmap planning sessions with key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all CensiTrac products, features, and functionality and serve as the subject matter to internal teams and to customers

Development and Release Process

  • Create clear documentation of scope, requirements and acceptance criteria for all features on the roadmap
  • Collaborate with Engineering to investigate bugs and technical issues that are reported by customers and internal teams
  • Manage stakeholder expectations regarding feature delivery timelines and scope
  • Serve as the product expert on scrum teams and own the approval process for all and any product changes
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure successful product delivery
  • Work closely with the documentation manager to ensure all release documentation (including release notes, technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides) is thorough and engaging
  • Partner with the Product Trainer to develop training materials for all new features and enhancements
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex product questions from Customer Success and Customer Support teams
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of product ownership experience in SaaS environments
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, metrics, and industry best practices
  • Experience working with backlog management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Superior communication skills, with ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests efficiently
  • Travel requirement : 20% of the time to customer sites and in-person meetings / workshops
  • Experience with Agile practices and cross-functional team collaboration
  • Extensive knowledge of CensiTrac and related products in the Censis suite is a plus
  • Education
