Job summary

AltaML is seeking an Associate Product Manager (Winter 2027) to collaborate with our product team on a platform used by real clients daily. You will focus on research and user discovery, uncovering how people use our products, where they struggle, and what that means for future work.

You will apply AI tools and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to shape how humans and agentic systems collaborate.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a participating university for Winter 2027 (January–April).
• Masters-eligible program specified (Masters Only at Calgary).
• Interest in AI/ML and product development.

Responsibilities

• Run user research and discovery to understand how users interact with our products.
• Turn what you hear into actionable items: notes, summaries, and decision-ready write-ups.
• Translate learnings into execution with clear user stories, requirements, and wireframes/prototypes.
• Build rough experiments using AI tooling and gather feedback.
• Assist in releasing updates by drafting notes and communicating changes to clients.
