Your role

The Associate Producer-Technician keeps up to date with current events and news happening in Inuit Nunangat. You are a problem solver who can solve technical and editorial problems when you encounter them.

You have a thorough passion for knowledge and understanding of the North and its diversity of communities, culture and content.

You will be getting our programming ready to air while keeping in touch with the team to provide support and catch up with stories and events in the region.

The Associate Producer – Technician provides an important part of the program support for hosts and other technicians by lining up remotes and keeping equipment lists updated ahead of an event. They also provide technical support and monitor equipment for incoming broadcasts, songs, daily lineup for the morning news.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  1. Deep knowledge of the Inuit community and other diverse communities in the North.
  2. Ability to work in Inuktitut and English.
  3. Enthusiastic team player with great communication skills.
  4. Facilitate communication with members of the audience.
  5. Organize the participation of interviewees, contributors and others.
  6. Technical troubleshooting skills are an asset.
  7. Able to work flexible hours, weekends and nights.
  8. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
