$135,000 - $175,000 CAD. This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Job Description:

TD Asset Management (TDAM), part of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering innovative investment solutions to institutional and individual investors. As of December 31, 2024, TDAM and affiliates manage over $459 billion in assets.

The Associate Portfolio Manager will support fixed income portfolio management, requiring analytical skills, market insight, and teamwork to assist in portfolio construction, credit analysis, and strategy development.

  • 3–5 years of experience in corporate credit, preferably in a buy-side environment, covering investment-grade and high-yield markets.
  • Strong background in fundamental credit research, issuer analysis, sector outlooks, covenant assessment, and financial modeling.
  • Assist in portfolio construction and rebalancing, monitor performance, and contribute to performance attribution.
  • Understand macroeconomic drivers and market technicals relevant to credit strategy.
  • Collaborate with traders, maintain records, and monitor market developments.
  • Prepare reports and presentations, participate in meetings with clients and industry contacts.
  • Use financial software (e.g., Bloomberg, Excel, Python) to support research and analytics.
  • Contribute to investment model development and primary market analysis.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Accounting; CFA preferred.
Nice to Have:
  • Python skills for tools and data insights.
  • Registration as an Associate Portfolio Manager or Portfolio Manager.
  • Knowledge of cross-border credit markets (U.S. and Canada).
