Applicant must be either a landed immigrant (Permanent Resident) or a CanadianCitizen at the time of application. Applicants must be a graduate of a medicalschool located outside of Canada and the United States, listed in the Foundationof Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER)International Medical Directory (IMED). Experience in an acute hospital basedcare facility within the last 3 years. Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME):Must have completed a recognized orthopedic or general surgery residency programwith a successful completion of an existing board exam. Medical Council ofCanada Qualifying Examination Part I (MCCQE1): Applicants must have passed theMCC Qualifying Examination Part 1 prior to application. English LanguageProficiency: As a requirement for licensure by the College of Physicians andSurgeons of Alberta (CPSA), applicants must have taken the International EnglishLanguage Testing System (IELTS) in Canada with minimum required scores of 7.0 ineach of the components within 24 months prior to registration.
