Introduction

The Associate Partner, Quality Engineering - Cross Industry, contributes to developing and delivering industry solutions based on firsthand experience. They understand current industry challenges and work with a team to develop new processes and technologies to address these challenges.

As an IBM Associate Partner, you will maintain effective business relationships with the client's management team and influence the success of IGNITE Quality & Test offerings in the market. Your main interfaces will be the IBM Consulting team (industry experts, solution owners, peers) and the client team, which holds overall IBM account responsibility. Additionally, as an IBM Quality & Test Leader for Cross Industry, you will manage talent and quality from capacity, efficiency, and affordability perspectives to ensure IBM Consulting delivers differentiated skills at competitive rates. You must balance cost & price, supply & demand, utilization & growth, and domestic & global resource models.

Your role and responsibilities

• Lead the Canadian Cross Industry Sector Quality & Test Team.
• Support and manage the ongoing development of the practice and lead the creation of new business opportunities, ensuring success from sales through solution design to delivery.
• Participate in client opportunity identification and qualification, understand client needs, articulate solutions, and formulate proposals and statements of work aligned with client objectives while managing delivery risks.
• Oversee engagement execution following the Delivery Roadmap, including staffing, assisting project leadership, reviewing deliverables, and participating in key project events to ensure delivery excellence.
• Influence functional strategy and practice growth, including capability development and operational activities.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Identify, validate, and pursue new testing opportunities.
• Design test solutions leveraging knowledge and experience to meet client needs.
• Oversee project delivery within the practice to ensure smooth execution meeting client and IBM objectives.
• Support test project delivery as Lead Consultant or Delivery Manager.
• Maintain effective relationships with the client's management team.

Quality Engineering Expert & Testing Consulting

Sales: Lead development of new solutions or methods to penetrate new markets.

Expected to generate new sales typically in the range of $5M to 10M USD annually.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiters to craft relevant job descriptions.
