A leading company is seeking an experienced Associate Partner in Application Engineering to drive cloud transformation initiatives. This role focuses on advising clients on cloud migration and development, managing business opportunities, and ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have expertise in hybrid cloud solutions and strong communication skills to build client relationships.
Introduction
We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Partner, Application Engineering (AES) for our Hybrid Cloud Transformation (HCT) Practice. This role involves advising clients on strategy, innovation, and implementation of complex cloud-based solutions. The primary focus is supporting clients in cloud migration, cloud native development, and DevOps requirements.
The Cloud Consulting team facilitates the transformation of clients' application portfolios and infrastructure to support their digital transformation journey. IBM leverages its deep business and technology expertise, leading innovation and business processes, to help clients maximize benefits from cloud technology. Our multi-cloud approach includes working with AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud, and others to tailor solutions for our clients.
Your role and responsibilities
Associate Partners support and manage the development of their practice area and lead new business opportunities, ensuring success from engagement start to finish.
The Associate Partner, AES, applies their experience in designing, selling, and implementing cloud solutions to help clients succeed in their cloud journey. They should have expertise in hybrid cloud transformation, microservices, containerization, application modernization, DevOps, and current cloud solutions from leading IaaS and PaaS providers.
This role requires the ability to create and close new business opportunities, manage financial outcomes, and develop strong relationships within IBM and with clients. The candidate must be skilled in gaining client trust, proposing solutions, and securing new business.
When not involved in business development, the Associate Partner participates in client activities, resolves critical issues, engages in cross-sector activities, and monitors the health of the cloud services practice.
Required technical and professional expertise
Supports practice development and leads new business creation, from sales to delivery:
Expected sales and project revenue include generating $5M - $10M annually and overseeing projects worth $5-7M.
Additional requirements include a proven track record in cloud services sales and delivery, consulting experience, strong communication and project management skills, and experience working with executive stakeholders.
