Job description

Our team is primarily based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but we encourage candidates from across Canada to apply. The successful candidate can expect to earn between $65,000-$85,000 CAD/year—depending upon relevant skills and experience—as part of a complete, competitive package.

Role & Responsibilities

As an Associate, Paid Social at Outshine, you work on various engagement teams to lead our clients’ paid social digital advertising programs, focusing on continuous improvement, experimentation, and results.

With expertise across platforms like Meta, LinkedIn, Capterra, Quora, and Reddit, you'll drive impactful social advertising initiatives.

The Technical Stuff You’re Really Good At

  1. Campaign strategy & planning: You develop paid social strategies based on client goals and needs, audience research, and competitive analysis.
  2. Ad & budget management: You adjust tactics and budgets to optimize clients’ campaigns to reach and deliver against goals.
  3. Testing & optimization: To improve results, you test different ad copy, bids, and targeting options (like location, demographics, and timing).
  4. Performance analysis: Leveraging analytics tools (e.g. GA4, Looker, proprietary internal reporting tools like Meta Ads and LinkedIn Ads Manager), you track campaign performance, measure KPIs, and identify trends. You create reports to help clients understand ROI and campaign effectiveness.

What You Prioritize When Working In Teams

  1. Client service: As one of the go-to contacts for your clients, you build trust and rapport by meeting deadlines, proactively problem-solving, and conveying information clearly.
  2. Communication & collaboration: Your approach to teamwork creates strong and trusting relationships with your internal teams and client partners.
  3. Knowledge sharing: You’re an active contributor to your broader teams and inspire continuous learning and development through sharing ideas, research, and skills.

Minimum Requirements

  1. 3+ years experience in paid social digital advertising and measurement platforms, including Meta (Facebook & Instagram), and LinkedIn.
  2. Experience managing complex projects and fostering relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  3. Experience working within secondary paid social platforms (e.g. Quora, Capterra, Reddit, X) is an asset.
  4. Experience working within paid search advertising platforms (e.g. Google Search, Display, Discovery, YouTube, Microsoft Ads) is an asset.
  5. Experience in B2B or SaaS marketing is an asset.
  6. Experience in an advertising or marketing agency is an asset.
  7. Knowledge of modern CRM/marketing automation tools, such as HubSpot and Salesforce, is also an asset.
