Key Responsibilities:
- Perform investment analysis and execute transactions.
- Conduct preliminary analysis of investment opportunities and prepare summary reports.
- Perform in-depth due diligence of potential investments and identify key investment merits and risks.
- Build detailed financial models and perform extensive sensitivity analyses.
- Prepare investment recommendation memorandums for approval.
- Participate in presentations to various committees.
- Represent the NR Team across Timber, Agriculture, Seafood, and Investment Industries.
- Network with industry experts and attend conferences.
- Actively manage investments and monitor financial and operating results.
- Work alongside management teams of portfolio companies on specific projects.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) to five (5) years of experience in private investments, investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, equity research, or in a natural resources company.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional designation: CFA is an asset.
- Superior proficiency with business software and analytical tools.
- Strong financial skills, including experience in building financial models.
- Project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Good attention to detail and presentation of information.
- Good communication skills in English and French (or willingness to learn).
