The Opportunity

Excalibur department - With changing population and employment demographics in Canada, some individuals seeking mortgages may not meet traditional credit requirements. Alternative lending (Excalibur) provides mortgage options for these individuals. The Fulfillment Specialist ensures all broker conditions are met prior to closing and manages interactions with brokers to satisfy conditions within a mortgage commitment.

How you will contribute:
  1. Manage files from the commitment by the underwriter until all broker conditions are satisfied
  2. Contact brokers to request solicitor and funding conditions sheets
  3. Follow up with brokers for additional information
  4. Support the funding department
  5. Review documentation to meet commitment conditions
  6. Organize incoming faxes from brokers and solicitors
  7. Verify employment, income, and down payment information
  8. Review and verify signed commitments and mortgage applications
  9. Audit files before progressing
  10. Update and correct information to ensure completeness and accuracy
  11. Respond to broker queries promptly
  12. Specialize in bridges and transfer mortgages
  13. Complete special projects as assigned
The experience you need:
  1. Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
  2. One year of mortgage experience preferred
  3. Proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn new systems
  4. Passing the Broker’s Licensing Course (UBC Sauder) is an asset
