About the Team

The Merchant Team is at the core of DoorDash. It is one of the largest teams in the company, powering many facets of our business and driving growth and revenue. Our mission on the Merchant Strategy & Ops team is to ensure best-in-class restaurant selection, develop cutting-edge services for merchants to grow their businesses, and help our partners operate seamlessly.

About the Role

We seek an operator with a strong bias for action who enjoys using data to solve problems. You will join our Merchant Strategy and Operations team, working relentlessly to sustainably grow merchant sales by optimizing restaurant visibility and customer traffic, managing product go-to-market plans, and incubating new ideas to support merchant growth. You will ensure merchants are set up for success from day one and continuously optimize their performance to improve in-app visibility and conversion. Additionally, you will scale Merchant-as-a-channel initiatives to extend reach beyond the app through off-platform marketing, brand visibility, and in-store engagements.

Your Responsibilities Include:
  • Strategize: Develop and execute initiatives aligned with the overall sales strategy to "win the merchant".
  • Experiment: Use data-driven decision-making to run tests and lead market intelligence efforts.
  • Optimize: Build and refine the merchant growth engine to maintain high-quality selection and merchant retention.
  • Partner: Collaborate effectively with other teams, incorporating feedback to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in consulting, strategy, finance, analytics, or business operations.
  • Proven track record in analytical problem solving, managing cross-functional initiatives, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets; SQL experience and financial modeling skills are preferred.
