Job description

We are looking for an Associate Master Data Specialist to help deliver high-quality master data that supports fast, efficient, and compliant supply chain and manufacturing operations. This role focuses on end-to-end master data maintenance, continuous improvement, and close collaboration with both local and global stakeholders. This position is based in Mississauga (Ontario), hybrid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute end-to-end master data maintenance including collection, consolidation, cleansing, and mass data updates across multiple systems.
  • Ensure “right-first-time” data quality through rigorous pre-checks and validation of key parameters.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure timely, accurate delivery of all requests.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve maintenance-related issues, including root-cause analysis.
  • Audit data in IDQ and manage discrepancies within Veeva, ensuring complete and synchronized records.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of master data standards, templates, and processes.
  • Support or lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., RPA, data/process optimization) to enhance efficiency and data quality.
  • Contribute to training materials and assist in onboarding new team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or specialized diploma with relevant experience.
  • 3–4 years of experience in master data maintenance or supply chain planning.
  • Data governance experience
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Manufacturing Operations in a global environment.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain processes (preferred).
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) and document-sharing platforms.
  • Veeva exposure
  • Experience with SAP systems (MM, PP, SD, QM, APO, TM, EWM) or OMP (preferred).
  • Experience with IDQ / data quality tooling, MDM platforms, workflow tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent teamwork and ability to collaborate with diverse global stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to deliver quality results under pressure.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proactive issue management.
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with MDG‑M or S/4HANA.
  • Proficiency in German.
  • Interest in data, IT topics, and modern business applications.
