Overview

Associate Marketing Manager – Performance Marketing role at Woodbine Entertainment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is intellectually curious, and brings strong analytical and project management skills, particularly in sports betting and wagering.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Manager in implementing annual sports betting strategies and initiatives
  • Assist in the delivery of the 5-year Wagering Strategic Plan, ensuring projects align with growth priorities
  • Coordinate the integration of Woodbine’s racing content into Sports Betting Operator (SBO) platforms
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with SBOs to ensure smooth operations and collaboration
  • Execute marketing and promotional activation calendars in partnership with SBOs
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to uncover new accretive wagering opportunities
  • Lead the development of new wagering opportunity financial and operational business cases
  • Support efforts to modernize and optimize existing wagering platforms and channels
  • Immerse themselves in global / local market trends to identify opportunities and threats
  • Identify emerging trends and opportunities in sports / wagering to inform future initiatives
  • Provide operational support for business development activities, including evaluating new partnerships
  • Prepare reports on the performance of sports betting and wagering initiatives, ensuring alignment with KPIs
  • Manage project timelines / budgets, efficiently using resources and adhering to deadlines
  • Monitor the progress and delivery of wagering initiatives to ensure consistency with Woodbine’s strategic objectives
  • Participate in external meetings and industry events to support growth initiatives
Qualifications
  • University or college degree / diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, sports betting, wagering, or related fields, with a focus on project management
  • Familiarity with the wagering industry and understanding of sports betting markets is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights
  • Creative thinker with a passion for identifying new growth ideas and opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
