ROLE DESCRIPTION

Through Realize Capital Partners, we have a mandate under the Government of Canada's Social Finance Fund (SFF), aimed at accelerating social finance and amplifying nationwide impact. Our Associate, Market Building provides important support and implementation for this mandate, working across internal teams and external relationships to develop and manage partnerships with capacity-building providers and emerging fund managers. This role involves developing resources to enhance investment readiness and new product creation within the Canadian impact investing market, separate from impact measurement and management work. The position reports to the Portfolio Manager for Realize Fund I and works closely with the Manager, Community Investments and Market Building.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Partner Management and Coordination

  • Coordinate and manage relationships with capacity-building and fund manager partners, ensuring clear expectations and oversight on deliverables.
  • Guide fund managers and community investment partners to available resources and programming of capacity-building partners.
  • Assist in identifying new partnership opportunities based on market feedback.

Technical Assistance Development and Support

  • Support the development of capacity-building tools and resources for fund managers across asset classes.
  • Identify opportunities for targeted market-building investments.
  • Support emerging fund managers by providing operational guidance.

Community Investment Development and Support

  • Advance local and place-based investment strategies.
  • Assist community partners in developing investable concepts.
  • Manage timelines and expectations, fostering accountability.
  • Refine service offerings through capturing best practices.
  • Develop networks for local investment partnerships.
  • Leverage advisory committees to support community investment strategies.
