Canada Life is seeking an Associate Manager for the Operational Accounting Team in Winnipeg. You will lead a high-performing group handling suspense, reconciliations, and accurate financial recording to support timely reporting.
This role emphasizes internal controls and process excellence across accounting activities. You will drive the close process, manage accruals, and mentor staff while collaborating with cross-functional partners and senior leadership.

We’re looking for an Associate Manager to lead a high performing accounting team responsible for suspense accounting, reconciliations, monitoring, and accurate recording of financial transactions that support timely and reliable financial reporting. This role is accountable for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring strong financial controls, and driving process excellence across key accounting activities. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with business partners and peer teams across the organization, leveraging strong communication, leadership, analytical, and accounting skills to support operational and strategic objectives.

This position will be located in the Winnipeg head office, with a requirement to work in the office three days per week.
The base salary for this position is between $71,900 - $119,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
