Job Description:

The Global Brand Management team is responsible for evolving, educating, and protecting the TD brand; driving the branding, naming and third party risk strategies for TD owned companies and being the stewards and educators for the brand at a Global and North American level. The main role of the Associate Manager is helping imbed the brand across the organization. This will be achieved through tools, education and providing brand oversight in terms of Visual, Verbal and Sonic Identities. The Associate Manager will work closely with internal Marketing and Business partners as well as external agencies and vendors to ensure consistent application of the brand through all tactics and channels.

About the Role

The role requires strategic and creative expertise to ensure the spirit of the brand is applied in line with key Brand and Business objectives. The Associate Manager, Global Brand Management plays a critical role in embedding and evolving the TD brand across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Group Manager, this role ensures brand consistency through strategic guidance, education, tools, and oversight-spanning visual, verbal, and sonic identity systems. You'll partner closely with internal marketing and business teams, as well as external agencies, to champion our brand across touchpoints. This is both a strategic and executional role with influence across global initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Stewardship
  • Support the development and governance of TD's brand identity system and global brand architecture.
  • Guide business units in applying the brand consistently and effectively.
  • Offer brand consultation and education across teams to strengthen brand discipline.
  • Drive adoption of the brand strategy and identity through guidelines, training, and tools.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to evolve and innovate within the team's portfolio.
  • Contribute to the development and governance of brand identity graphics across corporate, product, and service applications.
  • Help maintain the internal Brand Hub, including content and tech platform updates.
  • Lead or support strategic design direction, collaborating with designers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Influence and support marketing and business partners through proactive brand consultation.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture and demonstrate thought leadership in branding conversations.

Project & Relationship Management
  • Manage one-off and mid-level brand projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Write project briefs, manage timelines, and provide regular status updates.
  • Work with agency and internal partners to ensure effective execution aligned with the brand.
  • Act as the liaison between Global Brand and agency partners to drive brand consistency.

Education
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field.

Experience/Skills
  • 3-4 years' experience in an identity management or brand role within financial services, corporate branding, global consumer brands, and/or agency experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in brand identity management, design systems, or strategic brand development.
  • Ability to lead projects developing brand assets and standards for identity graphics to work across a broad range of corporate, product, and service communications.
  • You are curious and passionate about corporate identity, brand building, designs systems and identity principles - with a keen awareness of the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies, resources, and trends.
  • You are a motivated, driven and can help guide stakeholders to solve complex problems with simple solutions.
  • Have strong communication and persuasive presentation skills that is able to articulate ideas in a clear manner, encourage healthy debate, and accept directional feedback. Must be able to communicate effectively both up and down an organization in order to build trust and support.
  • Experience with briefing, project planning, timelines, budgets, and agency management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Competence and familiarity with design software, primarily Adobe apps is a plus but necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, while influencing stakeholders at all levels.
