Job description

Overview

Expect the candidate to work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

The main purpose of this role is to implement and support SAP HCM payroll for the US and CA. Support PepsiCo on all HCM payroll-related tasks, including gross-to-net payroll configuration, extensive experience in payroll/time schema modification, financial posting, benefits module, garnishment, CATS, Fiori, etc. Collaborate with various business units and IT global organizations such as change management, release management, security, service management, and incident management. Serve as a Payroll SME and technical/functional expert within change management and incident management processes.

Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of all application controls related to SAP HCM, as well as for timely testing and reporting on controls.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a SME for SAP HCM Payroll – Gross to net payroll
  • Work directly with vendors and support teams to ensure SLAs are met
  • Independently resolve issues related to SAP payroll using IMG and SAP best practices
  • Review FD/FMD/TD/Configuration rationale
  • Engage with IT leads and business as needed for pursuit efforts
  • Work with delivery teams on new projects and applications transitioning to support
  • Coordinate with NA IT and NA payroll/finance teams to resolve payroll system issues
  • Extensive experience in Payroll/Time Schemas and Rules (read/modify/create)
  • Deep knowledge of US/CA taxation
  • Understanding of financial posting, including PPMOD
  • Experience configuring US/CA tax, finance posting, 3PR, benefits, garnishment, off-cycle payroll, year-end processing, wage types, union rules, CATS, Kronos, time recording/evaluation, support packs, BSI, and tax processing
  • Experience with BSI TUBS, FD/FMD modifications, solution manager, Charm, ServiceNow, and similar tools
  • Experience with US tax reporter (W2) and Canadian tax reporting (T4/RL1/T4A)
  • Knowledge of RRSP and DSP plans
  • Experience in CATS and time transfer activities
  • Basic knowledge of Employee Central, Kronos, and HR authorization processes
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10-15 years of SAP HCM Payroll support/projects
  • Extensive experience in Payroll/Time Schemas and Rules (read/modify/create)
  • Experience in payroll functions and operations
  • Experience with financial postings, user exits, ALE/IDOC
  • Knowledge of US and Canadian taxation, including BSI
  • Experience with garnishment, benefits, time management, and CATS
