Job summary

Covenant House Toronto is seeking a performance-oriented Digital Acquisition Associate Manager to drive donor acquisition across digital channels and to boost engagement through data-driven marketing and compelling content.

Reporting to the Manager of Digital Fundraising, you will deploy tactics across paid media, email, and web platforms, segment audiences, and optimize campaigns to grow the donor base while aligning with the organization's mission and brand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
  • 3–5 years in nonprofit digital marketing for donor acquisition.
  • Hands-on with paid media: Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, TikTok.
  • CRM/email tools: Raiser’s Edge NXT, Engaging Networks, SFMC, Mailchimp.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics and Looker Studio for tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of donor relations and ethical data practices.

Overview:We are seeking a performance-oriented Digital Acquisition Associate Manager to contribute to the development and execution of donor acquisition strategies across digital channels. This role plays a key part in advancing the growth and sustainability of our donor base through focused acquisition efforts and enhances supporter engagement through data-driven marketing and compelling digital content.

Reporting to the Manager of Digital Fundraising, the Digital Acquisition Associate Manager is responsible for deploying digital tactics to acquire new donors, re-engage and activate lapsed donors through targeted campaigns, and optimize lead generation to drive donor conversion. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of digital media, audience segmentation, campaign and content performance, and a passion for social impact.

We are currently recruiting for 1 Full-time Permanent, Associate Manager - Digital Acquisition. This is a new position within the organization.

Responsibilities
Digital Campaign Execution
  • Support the development and implementation of multi-channel digital acquisition tactics across paid media and web platforms to drive donor acquisition, re-engagement, and activation of lapsed donors.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the effective setup and deployment of email campaigns, aligning messaging and targeting with broader campaign objectives.
Audience Segmentation & Targeting
  • Segment prospective donors based on behavior, demographics, and preferences to enhance campaign relevance and performance.
  • Support the development and coordination of email nurture sequences designed to convert leads into donors, ensuring alignment with audience segmentation and campaign strategy.
  • Ensure messaging and engagement tactics are aligned with strategic direction and tailored to diverse audiences across markets, in collaboration with the Manager of Digital Fundraising.
  • Use A/B testing and audience segmentation to refine targeting and messaging.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
  • Track and analyze campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Meta Ads Manager, Raiser’s Edge, and email platforms.
  • Use data insights to recommend optimizations that improve donor conversion, engagement, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Monitor email performance and continuously optimize for engagement and conversion.
Content Collaboration
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to develop compelling digital content that drives donor action and supports campaign objectives.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with brand voice and fundraising goals.
Lead Conversion Strategy
  • Support the development and optimization of lead generation funnels.
  • Implement strategies to convert leads into active donors through targeted digital engagement.
Paid Media & Performance Marketing
  • Assist in planning and manage day-to-day execution of paid media campaigns across platforms (Google, Meta, YouTube, TikTok), in collaboration with the Manager of Digital Fundraising and external media partners.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ROAS, CPA, and conversion rates to assess and improve campaign effectiveness.
Partnership & Vendor Coordination
  • Collaborate with creative agencies and media partners to ensure timely delivery of campaign assets, accurate audience targeting, and effective media placements.
  • Monitor and evaluate partner performance to ensure alignment with campaign goals and audience strategy.
  • Work closely with fundraising, communications, and digital teams to align acquisition efforts with organizational goals.
Digital Innovation & Channel Development
  • Research and recommend emerging digital channels, tools, and best practices to enhance donor acquisition and supporter engagement.
  • Stay informed on trends in digital fundraising and performance marketing to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing in a nonprofit or fundraising context related to new donor acquisition and new lead generation.
  • Hands‑on experience with paid media platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, YouTube, TikTok).
  • Familiarity with CRM and email marketing tools (e.g., Raiser’s Edge NXT, Engaging Networks, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp).
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and campaign performance tracking tools.
  • Experience coordinating content creation and optimizing marketing funnels.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of donor relations and ethical data practices.
  • Passion for social impact and values‑driven marketing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Revenue Generation & Budget Management: Manage a revenue and expense budget of over $1 million, aligned with the Digital Fundraising Manager’s objectives and supporting the plans of the Monthly Giving and Annual Single Giving Managers.
  • Budget Adherence: Maintain expense allocations within approved limits and ensure campaigns meet cost-per-acquisition (CPA) and efficiency benchmarks.
  • New Donor Acquisition: Volume of new donors acquired through digital channels.
  • Lead Conversion Rate: Percentage of leads converted into active donors.
  • Lapsed Donor Reactivation: Number and percentage of lapsed donors re‑engaged.
  • Email Engagement Metrics: Open rates, click‑through rates, conversion and unsubscribe rates from email campaigns.
  • Paid Media ROI: Return on ad spend (ROAS), cost per acquisition (CPA), and overall campaign efficiency.
  • Audience Targeting Accuracy: Effectiveness of segmentation and targeting in reaching priority donor groups.
  • Campaign Timeliness & Quality: On‑time delivery of campaign assets and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Innovation Adoption: Number of new digital tools or channels tested and implemented.
