Job Summary
The logistics coordinator will be responsible for the timely & efficient planning of inbound and outbound freight to meet our customer requirements. The successful candidate will mitigate risk & maximize value through cost reduction, avoidance evaluations, engagement & coordination with customers and carriers.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  1. Communicate with sub-contractors & handle tracking of domestic & ecommerce deliveries.
  2. Coordinate and follow up between overseas factories, carriers, customers, etc. to make sure timely processes are followed.
  3. Provide timely updates to relevant parties regarding shipment status.
  4. Arrange pick up & delivery with carriers for domestic inventory.
  5. Procure freight rates.
  6. Update & maintain ocean & road transport related activities.
  7. Manage and process electronic/manual shipping documents.
  8. Coordinate with the Operations team for a collaborative approach towards customer deliveries.
  9. Manage freight claims and product returns.
  10. Required to do root cause analysis of any carrier or delivery issues.
  11. Complete daily & weekly reports. (Inbound, outbound, & backorder reporting)
  12. Process logistics expense related invoices & manage claims & compliance charges.
  13. Look for opportunities to improve processes and reduce cost within the logistics process.
  14. Other Duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. Experience in freight shipping & receiving.
  2. Logistics background.
  3. Team player with strong organizational skills.
  4. Problem solving skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Takes initiative & has a strong sense of urgency.
  6. Detail oriented with good analytical skills.
  7. Knowledge of internal computer systems, ex; Microsoft Office.
