Qualifications

• LL.B. or JD from a recognized law school.
• Called to the Ontario Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of Insurance Defence or Plaintiff side Personal Injury with both Accident Benefits and Tort files.
• Proven track record of success in handling files.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
• Highly organized and client-service oriented.
• Experience managing and working with staff including legal assistants, law clerks, and accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Hold carriage of Tort and Accident Benefits files with direct client contact.
• Ensure proper documentation including using our file management system and adhering to both internal and external best practices.
• Attend discoveries, meditations, EUOs, LAT hearings, pre-trials, and other litigation events both virtually and in-person.
• Collaborate closely with opposing counsel, clients, and experts to mitigate exposure and have successful outcomes.
• Manage internal teams including legal assistants and law clerks.

Compensation And Benefits
