Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Licensed to practice in British Columbia.
• 3–5+ years of experience in family law, civil litigation or estate litigation.
• Strong legal, analytical and courtroom skills.
• Understanding of billing procedures and client invoicing.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and with teams.
• Strong client management and service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in family law, civil, or estate litigation as applicable.
• Provide strategic legal guidance, attend hearings and negotiations, and manage settlements.
• Prepare witnesses and examinations for hearings and trials.
• Maintain regular client communication and timely billing.
• Draft legal documents, conduct research, and manage case files.
• Provide legal coaching services to clients.

Given our continued trajectory for growth, we are currently looking for seasoned lawyers in our Vancouver location practicing in family law, civil litigation, and estate litigation who are ready to join our dynamic and modern law firm.

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Representing clients to address diverse legal issues. Depending on the candidate this could include family law, estate litigation, or civil litigation.
• Providing strategic legal guidance, attending court hearings and trials, attending mediations and arbitrations, negotiating settlements, and other legal duties as required
• Prepare witnesses and examinations for hearings and trials
• Maintain regular client communication and timely billing practices.
• Drafting legal documents, conducting research, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and managing case files
• Providing legal coaching services to clients

Qualifications / Skills:

• Law degree from an accredited post-secondary institution
• A lawyer in good standing with the Law Society and licensed to practice in British Columbia
• Three to five (or more) years of experience in family law, criminal law, civil litigation or estate litigation
• Strong legal, analytical and courtroom skills
• A solid understanding of billing procedures and practice
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Practices good client management and customer service skills
