Position Summary

The Associate - Operational Data and Analysis position is responsible for researching, solving problems, analyzing, and bringing resolution to sensitive issues relating to products and services available to clients. This involves correcting errors in financial processing, completing various orders, sending out communications, quality control, and reporting. This individual is expected to maintain a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and accountability, and to think beyond executing requests. The position will report to a manager located in Winnipeg.

Duties Include

• Review casework, identify root causes, research alternatives, and determine the appropriate courses of action to resolve cases in the best interest of the client and IG Wealth Management Inc.
• Monitor, reconcile, and analyze operational data to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Maintain operational procedures, job aids and documentation while supporting ongoing business initiatives, testing and continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform operational adjustments, reconciliations and account maintenance activities in accordance with the established procedure and controls.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions that mitigate the risk and enhance operational efficiency.
• Support regulatory reporting, audits, risk assessments, and control reviews by providing accurate data analysis and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with TreX, SAS, FundServ and SSUI systems is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with experience analyzing, reconciling and validating large volumes of data.
• Experience with SQL, database queries and Microsoft Excel macros is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy, meet deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Knowledge of investment products, registered plans, regulatory reporting, operational controls and reconciliation processes is considered an asset.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline operational processes, improve data analysis and support informed decision-making is considered an asset.

Overtime may be required during peak business. Flexible work hours may be required.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $45,500 - $55,000, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
