What You’ll Be Doing

As an Associate Investment Advisor, you will join CIBC Wood Gundy and be engaged in marketing and business development activities aimed at asset accumulation by identifying, attracting, and converting prospects into clients. You will deploy assets into suitable financial products based on client risk/reward tolerances, proactively service clients, address investment questions, support portfolio management through research and analysis, lead third-party manager due diligence, and assist in data analysis and investment strategies.

How You’ll Succeed
  • Building relationships: Display interpersonal and relationship-building skills to network, prospect, and develop strong, trusting client relationships. Provide mentorship and leadership within the team.
  • Investing: Develop investment plans and proposals, analyze trends, and apply insights to client circumstances. Lead strategic investment decisions and focus on portfolio management and business development.
  • Collaborating: Participate in seminars and collaborate with team members. Demonstrate effective presentation skills to convey ideas to clients.
Who You Are
  • Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or a Financial Services-focused diploma/certificate. Five years of relevant wealth management experience, with at least three years as a Registered Representative, holding Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and RR licensing. Commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Licensing: PM licensing required.
  • Passion for People: Build trust through respect and authenticity, valuing diversity.

  • Client Focus: Strong relationship skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Education: Related degree or relevant experience and designations.
