What You’ll Be Doing

As an Associate Investment Advisor, you will join CIBC Wood Gundy and be engaged in all marketing and business development activities which are designed to facilitate the accumulation of assets, by identifying, attracting and converting prospects into clients of the Team. The Associate Investment Advisor also deploys assets into suitable financial products based on the client’s risk/reward tolerances. You will proactively service clients and address investment related questions.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Building relationships - Display high levels of interpersonal and relationship building skills in order to effectively network, prospect, and build strong and trusting client relationships.
  • Investing - Develop investment plans and written proposals for prospects and clients. Analyze information/trends and apply it to individual client circumstances.
  • Collaborating - Participate in seminars for clients and prospects, in collaboration with team members. Demonstrate well-developed, interactive presentation skills to convey both factual and conceptual ideas to clients

Who You Are

  • You’re a certified professional. You have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university or a Financial Services focused 2 year diploma or certificate program.
  • You have five years relevant business experience in the Wealth Management Industry with 3 years or more as a Registered Representative, with your Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices handbook (CHP). Registered Representative (RR) licensing.
  • You understand that it is essential to continue learning and you will not hesitate to enroll in advanced programs and study on your own time.
