Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with transaction execution.
  • Support monitoring of the existing portfolio with a focus on private debt.
  • Contribute to due diligence, financial analysis, and research.
  • Help manage investment processes and support negotiation of structured transactions.

Required Experience

  • 2–5 years in private debt, investment management, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, financial advisory, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of credit investing and corporate finance principles.
  • Preferred experience in leveraged finance, middle-market lending, and / or high-yield debt.
  • Direct experience in debt investments, focusing on infrastructure-related transactions.

Qualifications

  • Relevant undergraduate or graduate degree, preferably in finance or investment analysis; MBA is an asset.
  • Advanced financial modeling, research, analytical, and valuation skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent business writing capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Completion of, or active progress toward, a relevant professional designation (e.g., CFA, MBA).
  • International education and / or professional experience is a plus.

Salary Range

CAD $109,000 to $135,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Work from the downtown Victoria office with options for remote work once a week.
