Key Responsibilities
- Assist with transaction execution.
- Support monitoring of the existing portfolio with a focus on private debt.
- Contribute to due diligence, financial analysis, and research.
- Help manage investment processes and support negotiation of structured transactions.
Required Experience
- 2–5 years in private debt, investment management, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, financial advisory, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of credit investing and corporate finance principles.
- Preferred experience in leveraged finance, middle-market lending, and / or high-yield debt.
- Direct experience in debt investments, focusing on infrastructure-related transactions.
Qualifications
- Relevant undergraduate or graduate degree, preferably in finance or investment analysis; MBA is an asset.
- Advanced financial modeling, research, analytical, and valuation skills.
- Proven problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Effective presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent business writing capabilities with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Completion of, or active progress toward, a relevant professional designation (e.g., CFA, MBA).
- International education and / or professional experience is a plus.
Salary Range
CAD $109,000 to $135,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Work from the downtown Victoria office with options for remote work once a week.
