Your Role

As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution with the Infrastructure Advisory business unit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide critical analysis and transaction advisory services to infrastructure project sectors including roads, bridges, water/wastewater, district energy systems, hospitals, prisons, airports, schools, defense systems, and ports to determine the best financing and procurement methods for the public sector.
  • Develop and revise financial models.
  • Conduct market research and analysis, including due diligence reviews of precedent practices for infrastructure projects and investments.
  • Support the development of reports, information memorandums, research, and industry papers.
  • Assist in preparing business cases, proposals, presentations, and contribute to business development.
  • Perform commercial and financial analysis of project finance structures, instruments, and pricing.
  • Draft and review procurement documents, schedules, and benchmark precedent projects.
  • Advise on alternative financing options (e.g., P3, AFP, IPD, Alliancing) ensuring appropriate risk transfer and bankability.
  • Conduct due diligence and detailed analysis to develop strategies and business plans supporting client investments.
  • Prepare reports and documents utilizing strong writing skills.
  • Contribute to winning proposals and client presentations.
  • Build understanding of the Canadian advisory marketplace and gain exposure to diverse clients and infrastructure projects across the country.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or related field.
  • MBA or relevant master’s degree is an asset.
  • Certifications like CAPM/PMP, LEAN/Six Sigma, or security clearance are assets.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar advisory role, consulting for public and private clients.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, report writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Solid financial modeling skills in Excel.
  • Experience with infrastructure sectors and procurement models is an asset.
  • Proficiency with procurement documents and models.
  • Effective verbal and presentation skills to interpret and communicate information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to compile concise reports and recommendations.
  • Positive attitude, energetic approach, and ability to influence client decisions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients, colleagues, and industry experts.

Approximate Base Salary Range: $70,000 CAD to $85,000 CAD. Salary is determined by role, level, location, skills, experience, and education. Bonuses are additional.
