The BMO CM Technology & Operations (T&O) group provides end-to-end support for the global Capital Markets (CM) business lifecycle from origination to settlement. Through partnership with members of the CM business, the team relies on its deep expertise and capabilities to serve a variety of colleagues from trade desk, P&L, back office and technology groups. Our customer experience strategy keeps us closely aligned with business partners and helps us accelerate our speed to market while delivering superior product and service quality.

The Canadian Securitization Group (CSG) is a structuring desk within BMO CM’s Global Markets division. It provides advisory and funding solutions through various programs, including conduits such as the Canadian Master Trust (CMT), Ridge Trust, and Precision Trust. The latest addition, Podium Trust, is a new SPV collaborating with its US counterpart to fund BMO by issuing Collateralized Commercial Paper backed by assets owned by various desks and entities within BMO CM.

Mandate

As part of the Global Trade Support (GTS) group under T&O, we seek to fill an Associate position within the Securitization Trade Desk Support (TDS) team, mainly supporting the Podium desk. The role involves leveraging advanced product knowledge and critical thinking to support issue resolution, manage trade support risks, participate in cross-functional initiatives, support new product and process introductions, and act as an escalation point for business issues related to GTS activities.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Executing activities for various products and processes according to standards and regulations
  • Building strong relationships with Trading Products desks, Product Operations, and other stakeholders
  • Supporting Business Partner initiatives, including due diligence and implementation

Key Accountabilities

Product & Process

  • Executing daily GTS activities efficiently and accurately
  • Supporting issue resolution and escalation to management as needed
  • Supporting Business Partner initiatives and stakeholder forums
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Calculating daily cash projections for funding, client fees, and ensuring timely client funding and invoicing
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
  • Other tasks as assigned

  • Ensuring compliance with directives, processes, and regulations
  • Maintaining confidentiality and managing risk to minimize losses

Knowledge and Skills

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial services

  • Experience in process/system improvement is a plus

Salary: $56,000.00 - $103,500.00
