What you’ll be doing
As the Associate, Global Markets Sales, you will work closely with marketers and traders to develop appropriate solutions and ensure timely execution. You will determine and provide product/rate information to our clients with exemplary service. Your responsibilities include initiating and developing client relationships through outbound and follow-up calls, generating value-add ideas, conducting client meetings and presentations, and offering customized solutions and trusted advice. You will liaise with other CIBC infrastructure groups (ISG, credit, treasury, tax, legal, client onboarding, etc.) and resources to deliver transactions and cross-sell other products, depending on product availability and customer requirements, always making sound judgments. You will monitor and analyze market activities and economic factors throughout the day to respond to client requests proactively. Additionally, you will develop product knowledge through directed or self-directed study and be prepared to cross-train as needed. Attendance at learning sessions held by the Trading Room is also expected. This position requires working in-office and frequent domestic travel.
