The Associate General Counsel works within the legal department of a fast-paced IT systems integrator, supporting outbound licensing and sales transactions for the company's Canadian public sector customers. This position reports directly to the Chief Counsel - Public Sector. This position negotiates and drives strategic transactions and a significant volume of sales/revenue agreements while supporting compliance with Canadian and international laws, rules, and regulations, and creates and trains employees on company policies related to contracting. The Associate General Counsel works directly with the business, providing day-to-day advice for senior executives and other business members on government contracting issues, resolving issues that arise in existing relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
