What's the job?
The purpose of the Associate Financial Planner (AFP) is to support the development of skills necessary to become a Financial Planner. This role assists Financial Planners (FP) with managing lower-tier portfolios, developing new business, and providing sales and administrative support. The AFP works to expand member relationships, source new business, and support daily activities of the FP. The role emphasizes delivering a positive member experience through strong relationships and may involve community networking outside regular hours. The AFP partners with the FP to help members manage, save, grow, and protect their financial well-being, contributing to Coast Capital's profitability. Responsibilities include portfolio maintenance, member service, and referral of complex needs to specialized channels. Industry knowledge and judgment in insurance and investment referrals are essential. This position provides training and growth opportunities in financial planning, requiring PFP and CFP designations.
