If you want to experience how things are done in the Accounting and Finance Department at our Canada Office, join us on a permanent full-time position, commencing at the earliest possible date as an Associate Financial Accountant. Please find the job details listed below for your reference.

• Managing day-to-day technical financial activities within Canada Branch
  • Analyse statement of accounts received from cedents/brokers
  • Liaise with brokers and cedents to reconcile accounts
  • Focus on accurate and timely handling of technical bookings and payments
  • Monitor receivables/payables
  • Meeting with cedents and brokers accounting teams to develop the relationship and resolve open issues
  • Liaise with Retro partner on Retro booking and reconciliation
  • Prepare quarterly accounts
  • Prepare month-end files for technical finance
• Perform claims administration functions
• Support the planning and forecasting process
• Integrate with BI tools from SAP
• Support local external and internal audits
• Contribute to group projects with a focus on E2E value chain approach and process improvement

You come equipped with

• Experience in accounting, preferably within reinsurance, insurance, or banking related fields
• A degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent training
• Expertise in SAP FS-CD
• A motivation for changing and improving current processes and supporting systems/tools
• Excellent numerical reasoning and analytical thinking skills
• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
