The Associate, Executive Talent Acquisition, supports the search and hiring process for executive-level roles globally across the Bank, including internal and external hiring, aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives. As part of the Talent Strategy Community of Expertise (COE), this role helps identify executive talent that reflects the Bank’s values and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
**Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:**
As a key member of Scotiabank’s Executive Talent Acquisition team, the Associate is responsible for:
- Providing confidential support for senior executive searches, including participation in meetings with search firms and hiring executives.
- Partnering with internal teams and external search firms to coordinate candidate interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience, including facilitating on-site arrangements and occasional in-person interactions.
- Engaging as a primary contact with external search firms and for executive search vacancies.
- Communicating updates to relevant parties such as search teams, HR Business Partners, hiring leaders, and the VP of Leadership & Talent Management.
- Managing invoice processing for the Executive Search Budget, ensuring compliance with the Bank’s accounting procedures.
- Maintaining and updating the central SharePoint database for all Executive Talent Acquisition materials, and recommending process improvements.
- Supporting various projects alongside the Director of Executive Talent Acquisition, and assisting with candidate sourcing and screening when needed.
- Contributing to the overall Talent Strategy and supporting the team’s goals and initiatives.
- Aligning Talent Strategy efforts with the Bank’s vision and global HR strategy.
- Fostering a customer-focused culture to strengthen relationships within and outside the Bank, leveraging broader Bank systems and knowledge.
**Do you have the skills to succeed? We’d love to hear if you have:**
- At least 3 years of progressive HR experience, including recruitment and/or executive search.
- At least 1 year of candidate sourcing experience, especially with LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Effective communication skills with candidates and colleagues at all levels.
- Professional conduct with high discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with candidate screening and assessments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is an asset.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred.
- Bilingual skills in French and/or Spanish are a plus.
