Job Description

Location: Anywhere in the U.S. mainland. Eastern U.S. preferred. Working in office with travel to project sites required.

ECC is seeking an Associate Environmental Engineer. Qualified candidates should have experience in environmental systems design, scientific analysis, field engineering support, or quality control. Willingness to travel to project sites is required; ECC covers travel expenses.

This position involves planning, coordinating, and implementing scientific and engineering services for environmental remediation and hazardous waste management projects, ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and contractual obligations. Responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborate with project teams to plan and ensure progress within budget and schedule
  2. Select and apply appropriate environmental technologies and solutions
  3. Prepare and review project and field submittals
  4. Apply industry standards and regulatory codes
  5. Identify and communicate project risks
  6. Assist in procurement and selection of subcontractors and consultants
  7. Inspect and monitor fieldwork
  8. Review work for compliance
  9. Ensure proper testing and documentation
  10. Address field changes and issues

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on qualifications.
