Wise Publishing is growing, and we are looking for a meticulous and self-directed Associate Editor to join our Moneywise.com team. If you are passionate about personal finance and have a keen eye for detail, this role is for you. As an Associate Editor, you will ensure the quality and accuracy of content published on Moneywise.com for a U.S. audience and distributed to various syndication partners. Reporting to the Deputy Editor, your role will involve editing and optimizing articles on various personal finance topics, ensuring adherence to editorial standards and managing the syndication process to maximize the reach and impact of our content.

Responsibilities (What You’ll Do) :

  • Review news and feature articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and clarity, ensuring they meet editorial standards and engage the audience.
  • Fact-check and verify all information for accuracy and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with writers to refine content, improve richness, and maintain consistency in tone, voice, and style across all articles.
  • Optimize content for monetization through responsible affiliate marketing while adhering to editorial and compliance guidelines.
  • Manage the syndication process, including preparing content for external platforms, staying informed about formatting requirements, and monitoring performance to make data-driven improvements.
  • Participate in editorial meetings, contribute to the pitch approval process, and suggest relevant content ideas informed by U.S. current events and personal finance trends.
  • Stay updated with industry standards in journalism and personal finance to maintain high-quality output and ensure alignment with audience interests.

What You'll Bring :

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in news editing, preferably in a digital newsroom.
  • Strong knowledge of AP and / or CP style.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge or experience in personal finance topics is preferred.
  • Proficiency in content management systems and syndication platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices in news content is a plus.
  • Proven writing and editing skills, with good instincts for flow and organization.
  • The Interview Process :

  • 1st : Initial Chat with HR Talent Partner (30 mins via Google Meet)
  • 2nd : Interview with Deputy Editor (45 mins video via Google Meet)
  • 3rd : Take home editing assessment - you will be given 3-5 days to complete the task and send it back for us to review.
  • 4th : Interview with Senior Editor (45 minutes via Google Meet)
