Associate Director & Product Manager, Data, Analytics & CRM – Canadian Commercial Banking

Purpose

The Associate Director & Product Manager, Data, Analytics & CRM is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and executing the comprehensive strategy and roadmap for Data, Analytics, and CRM within Commercial Banking. This position ensures that all initiatives align with Canadian Commercial Banking objectives and operational excellence standards. The role involves defining and communicating a clear vision, developing change management plans, and driving the adoption of advanced analytics applications. Additionally, the Associate Director will manage key stakeholder relationships and foster a high-performance environment by implementing a people strategy that attracts, retains, and develops talent.

In this role, the Associate Director will prioritize, analyze, and deliver on key initiatives, ensuring effective utilization of CRM, analytics, and reporting tools. They will work closely with various internal stakeholders to communicate changes, coordinate deliverables, and track progress. The position also involves writing requirements, managing risk controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives. By aligning strategic and financial goals with specific milestones and deliverables, the Associate Director will oversee the Commercial Bank’s Data, Analytics, and CRM priorities, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Accountabilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Oversee and execute the comprehensive Data, Analytics & CRM strategy and roadmap to drive benefits for Commercial Banking.
  2. Translation: Define all requirements and translate into technical user stories and epics.
  3. Agile: Build and manage customized agile framework for the entire Commercial D&A team.
  4. Operational Excellence: Ensure Data, Analytics, and CRM (Salesforce) initiatives align with Canadian Commercial Banking objectives and operational excellence standards.
  5. Vision and Roadmap: Define and communicate a clear vision and strategic roadmap for data and analytics initiatives.
  6. Change Management: Develop and implement a communication and change management plan to drive the adoption of advanced analytics applications.
  7. Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  8. Team Development: Build a high-performance environment by implementing a people strategy that attracts, retains, and develops talent. Foster an inclusive work environment, communicate vision and values, and manage succession and development planning.
  9. CRM and Analytics Utilization: Drive the adoption and effective utilization of CRM, analytics, and reporting tools.
  10. Prioritization and Delivery: Prioritize, analyze, and deliver on key initiatives to meet business objectives.
  11. Monitoring and Consulting: Monitor project progress, provide expert consultation, and proactively communicate updates.
  12. Internal Coordination: Work closely with various internal stakeholders to communicate changes, coordinate deliverables, and track progress.
  13. Requirements Documentation: Write requirements, epics, and stories to translate business needs into actionable tasks.
  14. Risk Management: Identify dependencies and manage risk controls, including logical access and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  15. Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with other Product Owners, Tech, Risk, Legal, Internal Controls, and more to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  16. Strategic Alignment: Oversee the Commercial Bank’s Data, Analytics, and CRM priorities by aligning strategic and financial goals with specific milestones and deliverables.
  17. Business Case Development: Develop business cases to justify appropriate investments in technology.
  18. Operational Efficiency: Create an environment that promotes effective and efficient operations while ensuring adherence to operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk frameworks.

Education / Experience / Other Information:

  1. 8–10 years of experience in Data, Analytics, CRM, or Product Management within financial services or commercial banking.
  2. Proven track record in leading agile teams, managing enterprise CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and executing data transformation initiatives.
  3. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business, technical, and risk domains.
  4. Deep understanding of regulatory requirements related to data, risk, AML/ATF, and compliance frameworks.
  5. Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset, strong communication skills, and an ability to drive measurable business outcomes.
  6. CRM Platforms: Salesforce (preferred)
  7. Analytics: Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python (preferred)
  8. Agile: Jira, Confluence, Scrum/SAFe methodologies
  9. Documentation & Collaboration: MS Office Suite, Visio, Lucidchart

Working Conditions:

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
