HOOPP in Toronto is seeking an Associate Director to evolve Operational Risk Management and Enterprise Crisis and Continuity programs, promoting a strong risk culture and partnering with business areas to identify and mitigate risks.

Reporting to the Senior Director, the Associate Director will help evolve HOOPP's Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Enterprise Crisis and Continuity (ECC) programs by promoting a strong risk culture and partnering with business areas across the organization to identify and mitigate key operational risks.
The role will support both programs. For Operational Risk, the Associate Director will support the execution and enhancement of HOOPP's ORM programs including vendor risk management, operational risk event reporting, key risk indicators and industry event surveillance. This role will also work directly with front office trading teams to review end-to-end processes and surface risks, inefficiencies and control gaps. For ECC, this role will lead the execution and ongoing management of HOOPP's Enterprise Crisis Management and Business Continuity programs, including plan development and testing and response management during actual disruptions.

Investment Management: Partner with front office trading teams to review end-to-end processes, identify operational risks, inefficiencies, control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Develop a strong understanding of trading activities, products and workflows to ensure recommendations reflect business needs and market realities.
Leverage existing risk management processes and capabilities, as well as industry knowledge to support the implementation, enhancement, ongoing maintenance, and execution of HOOPP's ORM program and underlying processes, including but not limited to: Vendor Risk Management

Industry Event surveillance and reporting
Provide analytical and operational support to the maintenance and execution of HOOPP's operational risk event reporting process, and the undertaking of associated procedures, including ongoing monitoring of the program for continued relevance and effectiveness.
Support business partners in their implementation of ORM program components within their respective divisions and provide appropriate oversight to govern the effectiveness of the implementation.
Support the ongoing development and evolution of an Operational Risk Dashboard that will showcase the results of the key operational risk metrics.
Support on-demand advisory requests and opportunities, which can include special projects, deep dive analysis and investigations.
Oversee the development, enhancement, maintenance, and testing of business continuity plans.
Facilitate business impact analyses (BIAs), dependency mapping, and risk assessments in collaboration with divisions and IT partners.
Support enterprise response, recovery, and restoration activities during actual crisis or disruption events.
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Crisis Management program and support the implementation and awareness for leaders, plan owners, and staff.
Provide advisory support to business units on crisis preparedness, continuity planning, and resilience best practices.
