Job Description

The Associate Director, Medical Affairs CAR-T, provides medical and scientific leadership for Johnson & Johnson’s CAR-T strategy, offering high-level, evidence-based scientific expertise to internal and external partners. The role involves leading evidence generation processes, supporting clinical studies, collaborating with external sites, and ensuring seamless integration of CAR-T into healthcare systems.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deploy CAR-T launch strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
  2. Drive pre-launch and launch activities, including strategic projects.
  3. Lead the design and execution of CAR-T strategies at PVT level.
  4. Manage the CAR-T field medical operation team.
  5. Align portfolio strategy with internal stakeholders.
  6. Secure resources and manage Medical Affairs plans.
  7. Identify data gaps, develop data generation plans, and participate in research approvals.
  8. Represent Canada on global Medical Affairs teams.
  9. Collaborate with global partners to meet Canadian needs.
  10. Champion investigator-initiated and collaborative studies.
  11. Manage medical budget and publication strategies.
  12. Build relationships with investigators and opinion leaders.
  13. Engage with CAR-T treating physicians and centers.
  14. Oversee scientific advisory boards and gather relevant information.
  15. Provide medical support for commercial CAR-T products.
Qualifications
  • MD, Ph.D., or Pharm D required.
  • Board certification in Medical Oncology, Hematology, or relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in CAR-T, stem cell transplantation, or cellular therapy preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in medical/clinical or scientific roles.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
