Position Summary




The School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking an Associate Director, Faculty Affairs who will create and implement processes, procedures, and corresponding timelines that align with new and existing policies developed by school and university leadership. Manage and oversee structure, systems, and programs in place to support faculty during their lifecycle at the university. Support faculty professional development and recognition through directing faculty related processes and activities, such as school-sponsored research grants, special assignment requests, faculty awards. Independently plan, implement and direct execution of all faculty-related events for the SPS Office of Faculty Affairs. Direct successful use of Interfolio, including trainings, setup, new features, troubleshooting, and liaising with key stakeholders. Collaborate with and advise faculty committees on school and university policies and structure. Manage budget; project expenses, review and approve expenditures. Develop content and communications, including for websites and other materials. Supervision of staff. Execute special projects.






Qualifications




Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Master's degree in higher education administration, human resources, or other related field. or

Required Experience:
5+ years Progressively responsible experience with human resources management and/or faculty services or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience in interpreting and communicating policies to various stakeholders. and

Preferred Experience:
5+ years Related experience at a large, complex, decentralized higher education institution. or

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent customer service, problem solving, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to deliver consistently high quality, timely service and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously in a high volume academic environment. Ability to establish priorities and to work independently and as part of a team, take initiative, and follow through to completion. Ability to interpret policies to faculty and senior level executives. Ability to develop relationships with key constituents at all levels of the school and throughout the University. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion. Knowledge of standard office software. Demonstrated ability to adapt successfully to fast-paced and changing work environment and needs.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00 to USD $105,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
