This role facilitates decisioning and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for the bank. It maintains a client service environment to satisfy and exceed customer needs, making credit decisions in accordance with sound principles and bank policies.
- Establishes cross-selling initiatives to increase client penetration.
- Applies deep expertise in bank products, processes, and systems to ensure a high-quality client experience.
- Coordinates closing with relevant departments, clients, and attorneys.
- Serves as a daily escalation resource to meet or exceed client expectations.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group, influencing and negotiating to achieve objectives.
- Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
- Determines business priorities and sequence for strategy execution.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for stakeholders.
- Participates in developing financial models and analytical tools for clients.
- Designs and produces reports and dashboards.
- Stays current on financing trends in target markets and communicates insights to team members.
- Develops communication plans to influence or change behavior, with tailored messaging and appropriate channels.
- Prepares concise credit correspondence and lending proposals to maximize penetration and returns.
- Negotiates transactions and provides deal structuring expertise.
- Oversees documentation and monitoring of asset and client performance.
- May manage workflow of other analysts.
- Provides financial analysis and risk assessment for new and existing customers.
- Partners with internal stakeholders for detailed client information.
- Develops credit information for lending decisions on various loans.
- Assists in negotiations of terms and conditions via phone and email.
- Prepares summaries and opinions on creditworthiness.
- Minimizes risk exposure by adhering to credit policies.
- Contributes to operational program planning and implementation.
- Builds effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Focuses primarily on business/group within BMO, with possible enterprise-wide focus.
- Provides consulting, analytical, and technical support.
- Exercises judgment to diagnose and solve problems within rules.
- Works independently on non-routine situations.
Qualifications:
- Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency through education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Influence skills and data-driven decision-making.
Salary: $69,000 - $129,000
Pay Type: Salaried
