What is the Opportunity?

We are seeking an Associate Director, Client Solutions to drive strategic initiatives and enhance our Fund Administration services. This is a high impact role requiring a strong understanding of fund administration along with a strategic mindset to support business development efforts with clients and prospects while closely collaborating with operations and technology teams to contribute to the ongoing evolution of our strategy.

The role is responsible for designing, enhancing and delivering fund accounting and administration services to institutional clients, including investment managers, insurance companies, pension plans and fund manufacturers. Acting as product owner and subject matter expert, this role collaborates across operations, technology and business development teams to support client onboarding, product development, regulatory change initiatives, and continuous service evolution. This mandate includes shaping client-centric solutions, supporting initiatives that improve scalability and competitiveness, and representing this product domain in RFPs, client due diligence and industry forums.

What Will you Do?
  • Partner with clients to understand their needs and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with business development and relationship management teams to define and position offerings in response to client needs and market trends
  • Support client transition and onboarding, ensuring operational readiness and alignment with proposed solution
  • Lead the design and development of target operating models for Fund Accounting & Administration
  • Contribute to overall product roadmap by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, data integration, reporting, or oversight capabilities.
  • Contribute to design and implementation of service enhancements
  • Lead the business casing and project initiation for product-led changes.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives such as new services, platform upgrades, automation initiatives, digital client experience, or regulatory enhancements.
  • Support internal risk assessments, audits, and controls for fund administration services
  • Maintain deep understanding of financial reporting and regulatory requirements and valuation principles.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to monitor and interpret changes in Canadian regulations and assess impact on service and clients.
  • Participate in deal review committee to represent product in review of new business opportunities
  • Participate in client meetings, due diligence sessions, and RFP presentations to communicate product capabilities
  • Draft client facing documentation such as service descriptions, onboarding plans and operating model diagrams in partnership with client onboarding and business development
  • Support client facing teams for regulatory questions or complex operational questions related to fund accounting
What do you need to Succeed?

Must Have

  • 7-10 years’ experience in fund administration within an asset servicer or asset manger
  • Solid experience in fund accounting and administration with exposure to alternatives, insurance, pensions, tax, financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian fund structures and regulatory landscape including IFRS, NI81-106, NI81-102, and OSC, FRSAO, OSFI guidelines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strategic thinker with strong problems solving skills
  • Genuine curiosity and client empathy, anticipating pain points and designing proactive solutions

Nice to have

  • prior experience in product roles within asset servicing or asset management
  • CPA. CFA, CAIA considered an asset
  • Experience with alternative platforms
